I started to make a header image for this site a long time ago but my first ideas were too ambitious and I ended up changing my mind a few times about what I wanted it to look like. I finally have a result I’m happy with and here it is. The molecule is oxytocin so as you can see, “I Oxytocin Science”. For those who don’t already know, oxytocin is the hormone most associated with love.
To make this image I used Inkscape, Gimp and Blender which are all open source apps. I got the branches of science in the background from this Wikipedia page. The “S” of “Science” is in the logo for C O S. I though even though the name C O S could change eventually, might as well make a logo I can use until then. It represents a “S” inside an “O” (which looks like the the symbol for yin and yang which I might use since I would like my organization to promote personal balance by working on all aspects of personality and all types of intelligence) inside a “C”.
