Two separate witnesses reported hearing it say “To be or not to eat a baby, that is… not really the question.” before exploding in maniacal laughter.
It is largely considered to be a demon though its actual nature is unsure. It got its name “Krankenschwester” (German word for nurse) because it preys on the sick and the weak. It was also reported to hum children’s songs to attract the ignorant and the naive or just before attacking.
